Albany Great Danes Dominate Bryant Bulldogs in 71-46 Victory |
Amir Lindsey's 21 Points Propel Albany to Convincing Win |
The Albany Great Danes delivered a commanding performance on Saturday, securing a 71-46 victory over the Bryant Bulldogs at the Broadview Center in Albany, New York.
Amir Lindsey led the charge for Albany, contributing 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including two three-pointers. His dynamic play energized the home crowd and set the tone for the game.
Complementing Lindsey's efforts, Okechukwu Okeke recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while also adding three blocks to his stat line. Zach Matulu chipped in with 13 points, connecting on three shots from beyond the arc.
On the opposing side, the Bulldogs struggled to find their rhythm. Timofei Rudovskii was a bright spot, scoring 20 points, but received limited support from his teammates. Both Jakai Robinson and Aaron Davis managed nine points each, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Great Danes.
Albany's defense was particularly stifling in the second half, holding Bryant to just 12 points after the break. This defensive prowess allowed the Great Danes to extend their lead and secure the win comfortably.
With this victory, Albany improves to 5-12 on the season and 1-1 in America East Conference play. Bryant falls to 5-12 overall and 1-2 in conference matchups.
Looking ahead, the Great Danes aim to build on this momentum as they continue their conference schedule, while the Bulldogs will seek to regroup and address the challenges that have hindered their recent performances. |
