About
Shoshin Karate is Albany’s premiere karate school blending the traditions of the Okinawan art of karate with a modern, realistic approach to self defense and self discipline. Our dojo (school) is not a franchise – Shoshin is a high-quality, small school fostering a community of dedicated students who learn and practice the foundations of authentic karate (open/empty hand) taught by knowledgeable and down-to-earth martial artists with decades of experience. We are committed to creating the Capital Region’s highest-quality, most affordable karate program and a cohesive community for our diverse karate-ka (student body) of all ages, levels and abilities.
